The Story of Us
Everyone loves a love story. Whether the story boasts of great feats to preserve love or soft moments that lead to romance, we all just love love. Actually, one of the first things I ask my couples is how they met! To me, it is such a good way to get to know them and their relationship! I especially like when they both tell “their side” of the story! haha.
Josh and I get asked about our love story all the time. It’s just one of those questions you ask couples. Ya know.. “So, how did you two meet?” It comes up a lot! We love telling it {and we have our sides of the story too. ;)}. So, we decided it would be fun to share it with you! Now, I will warn you, it’s quite a ride. So, hang on and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Scream It From the Rooftops
It was January 2nd. The grass was a pale brown from the chilly winds and morning frost. Christmas trees still stood in their windows as people clung to the cheer of the holidays. And Samantha and Josh were dating.
Everyone knew it. They knew it. Their friends knew it. Even their parents knew it. (Although Samantha was mortified when her dad introduced Josh as her “beau.” Nothing was official yet!) They had even started saying “I love you”. But, they had never had a serious conversation about their relationship. It had all just happened so easily. One moment, they were just best friends. And within a couple of months, they knew their lives would never be the same.
Samantha had even flown to San Diego to meet Josh’s parents. During that balmy 72 degree New Years, they spent time exploring Josh’s hometown and sitting around the dinner table with his family. It was all so effortless, so right, and so full of joy.
But, Samantha had to return home to Alabama while Josh spent some more time with his family. The separation gave them both a good chance to think. And, for the first time since the “friendzone” conversation, Josh was ready. But, he was more than ready to just talk. He was ready to scream. He knew he loved her, and he was ready for everyone to know it. And though they were 2,000 miles away, he couldn’t wait.
