I love to travel. I love seeing new places and having new experiences. And, I am always excited to plan my next adventure! However, the phrase “home sweet home” rings true after I have been traveling for quite a while. And, tonight, I am embracing my “home sweet home.”
Within a week and a half, I have been to Indianapolis, Destin, Nashville, Gainesville, and Orlando. It has been such a wonderful time! I had the absolute pleasure of capturing a wedding, 2 maternity session, and a 8 hour portrait session. But, tonight, I am thankful to be home. I am thankful to have a husband who is excited to have me back. And, I am thankful to have the chance to relax and recharge.Â
It never occurred to me that all of my travels, though absolutely wonderful, would make me miss being at home so much. I didn’t anticipate it. So, I am enjoying every second of typing this from my incredibly comfy couch! (I really do love my couches. Haha!) I am also looking forward to taking the next few days to relax as I edit. I have been on the run for 11 days now, so the slower pace will be such a blessing.
From here, I think I need to remember this feeling in the future. I need to be thankful for my home more than after a lot of traveling.
