Last night, I had the privilege of spending some time with Rachel and Eric during their engagement session in Zionsville and Carmel, Indiana. We started their sunny engagement session at Starkey Nature Reserve after days and days of rain. The bright sky was a welcome sight and made the entire session light and airy. As soon as we started shooting, I noticed how comfortable Rachel and Eric were with each other. One of my favorite things about the couple is how much Eric makes Rachel laugh. Her infectious laughter filled the engagement session to create a light and comfortable atmosphere for the whole evening.
Before the session, Rachel expressed how much she wanted to have flowers in her engagement pictures. I was excited about the idea, but the session fell in between blooming seasons. Luckily, while driving around the day before, I happened to find a field full of blooming yellow and white flowers. This field was our second stop during the session. It was a little muddy trying to get to the field, but it was so worth it! The images were beautiful and Rachel and Eric looked awesome!
Finally, we made our way to Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana. We arrived just in time for sunset which is one of my favorite times to shoot! As the sky lit up, the water turned to glass and created reflections of the large bell tower and spring greenery. It was a perfect way to the end the session.
Rachel and Eric, I am so excited to be apart of your wedding day in less than a month! I know it will be filled with just as much love and laughter as your engagement session, and I can’t wait!
